Time after time, I findmyself having this discussion. It generally happens two times a year, once in the spring; once in the fall.
I love “Daylight Saving Time.” But, I’m just one person. There are plenty of others with varying opinions from “love it” to “shove it.” Whenever I’m forced to defend Daylight Saving Time, or when I hear those tired old saws about the time change, I just want to whip out one of those great Ronald Reagan quips I love so much.
For this one, I think “There you go again!” would be very appropriate.
To signal the time change, I just went about my annual business. I moved the clocks forward; I changed out the batteries in the smoke detectors – my twice-a-year task aligned with the spring and fall time changes.

And then, last evening, I enjoyed doing some things outdoors before sunset.
Anyway, for it or agin’ it, there is one thing we can probably all agree on: it’s not going to go away any time soon.
I haven’t heard of any movement to make any revisions to the law (although, note to Arizona: you guys might want to get on board with the rest of the country).
So, since I can’t really change anything (and since I’m not the lone holdout who cast the tiebreaking vote), I thought we might focus this year’s annual ‘spring forward’ edition of Coach Jeff’s Blog on ways to deal with the time change. I hope this will be helpful if you are one of those folks vehemently opposed to it or if you just found yourself a little drowsy – wouldn’t you know it was dark and rainy - on this Monday morning.
I found some great tips online. Here are some links in case you want a little help for Tuesday morning (especially if you found early Monday to be rough).
