They’re heading into ‘crunch time’ at Farragut High School as the members of the Admirals’ Performing Arts Company (APAC) gets closer and closer to Opening Night for its spring musical, “My Fair Lady.”
The musical runs from March 8-11 in the Wells Auditorium on the FHS campus.
Cast and crew put in a full day of finalizing the building and painting of sets last Saturday. There is still work to be done as they do their final tweaks this weekend and add various pieces to fully bring the set to life.
It was very impressive, though, to see all of them so hard at work.
Meanwhile, a crew of parent volunteers were assisting head costumer, Kim Davis, as she and her team helped to outfit each cast member with just the right wardrobe pieces for their characters. Other parent volunteers drove around town helping to procure various props, supplies and building pieces.
FHS teacher and the director for this musical, Dave Crutcher, moved back and forth across the stage and around auditorium orchestrating the various activities.
Cast and crew will move into ‘tech week’ over the weekend and the musical will open next Thursday.
