I’d like to take this opportunity to give a Happy Mother’s Day shout-out to all those great moms - including my lovely wife - tuning in on this lazy, rainy Sunday afternoon.
Everyone has the BEST mother. I want to make the case for my mother, Pat Gary. (And many thanks to my sister, Lisa, for the great photo she posted today on Facebook).
My mom:
- Always remembers my favorite candy treats - Starburst in the stockings at Christmas; white chocolate bunnies at Easter.
- She roots for all my favorite sports teams. My favorite teams = her favorite teams. She might have been the BIGGEST Concord Choppers fan!
- She makes the BEST chicken casserole, lemon ice box pie and cherry'o cream cheesecake
- She is a frequent guest at Paul’s concerts, musicals and Improv shows. She frequently tunes into Holly’s deejay shifts when she is on the air at WUTK radio (90.3 The Rock, UT’s College of Rock)
- She is kind, loving and caring. She’s the best.
Happy Mother’s Day, Mom! And to all the other great moms out there in blog-land!
