Yesterday, Farragut’s Theatre Arts Boosters (TAB) met for its first session of the new school year. Meanwhile, the student organization, APAC (Admiral’s Performing Arts Company) as well.
Let me tell you: There are big plans for the 2012-13 school year for theatre at FHS!
First up, this fall, will be Jekyll/Hyde.Performances are set for Oct. 25-27 at 7:30 p.m. and a matinee show on Oct. 28 at 3 p.m.

Also, the FHS Improv Comedy Team is preparing to embark upon another laugh-packed season. To our knowledge, Farragut has the only team of this sort in the eastern part of the state (maybe the entire state).
The first Improv show is conveniently scheduled for Friday Sept. 28. Fridays are just more fun! The Ferguson Theatre fills up early for Improv shows, so you’ll want to want to get there early. Doors usually open just after 7 p.m. I’d recommend being in line well before that.
And it’s a laugh-packed couple of hours. These kids are very talented (and very funny). I’d highly recommend that you come to the show.
In fact, I’d highly recommend you come to the play and the Improv show – high quality productions right in your back yard and reasonably priced.
As my ol’ high school buddy, Steve Martin (NOT the comedian) would say: “What a deal!”
